When I first heard Thomas Roue's music, it was at a Ragged Edge Open Mic... quite a few years ago. I'd never heard anything like it. And I can't think of anything I've heard since that's very similar either. The guitar parts are thoughtfully composed. The melodies are arranged in a way that lets those guitar melodies shine and gives proper space for the lyrics to be impactful. It's all really brilliant stuff - a real original sound. And the band he's put together has taken that sound to another level. Simply put, you should spend a summer evening at The Barn (of the National Apple Museum) with The Pale Barn Ghosts. Drink some cider, raise some money for the Museum. We'll see you there.
